Smile Haven't made a level in a year, and this is it..

So yeah, I haven't made a level in a whole year, so I thought I would start again, and this; is the finished piece.

Would love to hear what you people think of it!

Some of the ideas are nice in that level. Although I really do not thing that cliff idea with the water bordering on the cliff works, same deal with the posts jumping straight to the cliff. Also the cliffs don't quite fit in with the paths, if your going to have interesting paths you should have interesting cliffs to math other wise it looks out of place. Other then that it's a nicely laid out level. Well done

Thank you for some decent criticism.

Cliffs have never been my strong point ^_^

This may help you alot then. Check it out, the cliffs are really smooth but the perspective is a bit crazy so be careful with that.

In addition to what Tricxta pointed out, the level seems very crowded. It's almost as if, in order to detail the level, you just randomly placed objects. I see many small tile-errors. I'm not going to point them out; if you look for them, you should find them.

I'll list out a few things that (in my opinion) could improve the level...
  1. Instead of having the shrubs scattered everywhere, group them, and don't use so many.
  2. The wooden pillar transition between the water and grass looks unnatural, and seems to break the perspective. You should try something else.
  3. I think you should remove most of the boulders, however, I understand if it is meant to be a rocky area I guess.
  4. The way the waterfall is at the moment makes little sense. It begins above where the cliff starts. Move the beginning of it down, or create your own solution.

The reason for there being loads of shrubs and rocks is due to where the level is set. It's suppose to be in the middle of no where, maybe in the mountains?

However, thank-you for the criticism, i'll take it on board.

I like the level, but it doesn't seem practical. Too much blocking stuff to allow for movement.

Pretty good, but something doesn't seem right about the water behind the building.

The part in the middle is more eye-candy than a place for players to walk about

And I agree about the water behind the house, however, it was an experimental idea
Once again, I thank you for your criticism.
