Post Trade Log Organizer

Do you have a hard time merchanting with others? Is your dream of becoming rich just a few million shells away? Well look no further.

I propose a in-game organizer that helps players keep track of their trades, in which helping them make better decisions.

There should be a "Item Recommender" That generates daily prices of guns and what they have been sold for by the entire community to create a healthy and stable price set. So say if one person sells a Sten for 85k and someone sells for 90k then the generator would set the recommended price at 87.5k. As more of the same weapon is sold the average recommended price changes daily. It can keep track of what items you have bought and sold, a "Smart Viewer" which shows the amount of money you have, the amount you made/loss that day your current items and the last items you owned. This should also be easily accessible to PR to help recover stolen items.

This will help stabilize the economy so we don't have any more price drops and make merchant a whole lot easier.

Also what could be done is a "Ebay" of sorts or "Auctioneer" where you could buy/sell items easier, fixed into categories ranging from Guns to Hats. There could also be a "forced price" for all items that are fixed into the Pricing Generator. Though that could be awfully strict its an idea. This would also reduce excessive clutter when it comes to opening masses that have to do with what they are selling.

The Developers might not feel like doing this, but if we expect higher rates of players to be attracted from era iphone, and also many less scams as that would be a very safe way of trading. But if the manager of Era PC doesnt like this idea, maybe you could be implemented into the Era iPhone as a fresh way to trade, since showing off your items via masses are not possible on era iphone.

It's an okay idea in theory but it wouldn't actually do anything.
Players rarely sell anything of value for straight cash.
Would be way too easy to game the system by getting a friend to keep trading you their M4 for $1 so that the price looks lower so you can buy one.
Even if you only limited it to only recording trades to once per day per item per account and only if the sale price is within a threshold of an existing average sale price, groups of people (parties, gangs) would still be able to influence the prices of items fairly easily if they wanted to.

I don't think it's necessary at all, but I want them to bring back the mall or implement a feature into the auction house so players can do there own auctions and whatnot. So don't have to mass so much.

Well the mall, in my opinion was to much for to little, hated the idea of x amount of minutes for x amount of dollars in one level that people wont enter that much. But a nice drop down window where people are selling and auctioning off there items

I wish I could choose two options.

I say No to PC because:

1. It'll never be done.
2. It isn't needed.
3. It would probably be easy to abuse and hard to apply with what you say.

Ex; Player A and Player B trade a gun back and forth for their combined money to raise the price extremely high. A + B then sell the gun to Player C for the new price, claiming it's amazing, and split the money. (Similar to when people I know would try to sell things and they wanted me to answer 'PC' masses with false prices)
Ex2; Player A sells a gun to Player B for a different gun + cash, how would it be calculated..?

However I would approve this idea for IPhone because:

1. The economy is new and they might be able to apply/control it.
2. They might be able to make it, since they have staff [that actually login].
3. [Most of] the players are new to 'Era' and haven't been around merchanting for years with a small populace of ~100. So the system could be of some use and help players.

The generated gun price + the cash.

There wouldnt even be a reason to actually work to make items worth 1 dollar, just dont put it in as the set price to sell all guns, just as the recommended, so interest in trying to lower guns are of no reason. It could also be limited to different players trading, so instead of player a and player b switch trading to make an item 1 dollar, just have the one counted trade be set. then after a long while it resets so the trade with player a and player b count again. Nothing to consecutive.

Yea it seems complicated.
It sounds good and dandy when you type it up, but to actually make that all work in a bug proof, updating, abuse checking, easy to use, database/system for all the guns/items would really take Sales (Yea, there is noone else to make it) more than it's worth because I doubt it would really make a huge dramatic change on current Era.

They wouldn't be trying to make it worth $1. They'd just be trading it for $1 to lower the average so that they can get it cheaper.

Even if you only recorded sales between the same two people once, there are still ten different combinations of sales that a single party of 5 people can do:
Member 1 -> Member 2
Member 1 -> Member 3
Member 1 -> Member 4
Member 1 -> Member 5
Member 2 -> Member 3
Member 2 -> Member 4
Member 2 -> Member 5
Member 3 -> Member 4
Member 3 -> Member 5
Member 4 -> Member 5

Now using weighted average, suppose that a 100k gun has been sold for exactly 100k a hundred times. This gives it a very strong average price of 100k. If somebody else came along and sold one for 150k the average price would only move to 100.5k, so barely any effect.
But a single party of 5 people trading it for $1 ten times could move that same weighted average from 100k to 90.9k. Now remember that Graal accounts are essentially free now and can trade, so there is really no limiting factor there.

Like I said before, you could add a threshold, so that it only counts sales within 10% of the existing listed value, but people would still abuse it, it'd just take them longer. And when dramatic changes in value happen overnight (imagine if MP5s were suddenly sold in an NPC shop, or if P90 was buffed to 80 damage) the sudden price change would be outside of that threshold and the prices wouldn't reflect the current value at all, so they'd be useless anyway.

It'd be nice if we could have something like this, but recording player sales isn't the way to do it.
