Where We Stand

In my foolhardy attempt to re-spark role playing on GK, I am going to try to tell everyone where Zormite stands in the world of GK. I'm going to start from when Drakeero Araylin was Emperor around 2006-2007. I'm really just using a list of leaders to explain:

After various leaders and multiple trade offs, Drakeero was one of the first newer, long term Emperors. After Drakeero's reign was over the kingdom was juggled around between a few leaders; Ravenblade, Uri, and even Elizabeth. A low point in this was when Ravenblade exiled future Emperor Zargon Zahn Zormola from the Archipelago.

ZoJo Zormola getting the dying Zormite from Elizabeth after just a month, the Premier helped to reestablish Zormite as an active kingdom, gaining a new member count, hosting kingdom events, and leading and winning several wars. He also made Zorbi a relevant race, at least within the kingdom's higher ranks.

Zargon Zormola, ZoJo's second in command took control of the kingdom after he stepped down. Continuing in all of ZoJo's original plans with more emphasis on war, Zormite remained one of the more populated and active kingdoms.

Tycho Brahe was suggested as a replacement for Zargon when he stepped down by one of his Royal Advisors, Tycho was widely regarded as a recent low moment in Zormite's history. Besides being inactive and having little direction development-wise, Tycho not only ignored the Zorbi race within Zormite, but attempted to replace it with a "Dragonkin" race, drawing to mind Zormite's past issues with other race...

Drakeero after ZoJo and Zargon's pro-Zorbi campaign helped remove Tycho from power, Drakeero stepped back in to hold the kingdom down. What was originally going to be a long term leadership was cut short by even more power struggles.

ZoJo Zormola, continuing his Zormite for Zorbi campaign, ZoJo, using Samurai's forces as their Shogun, rallied all of the kingdoms to declare war on Zormite, with the only surrender terms being ZoJo be installed as ruler and Zormite remaining a Samurai kingdom. Whether or not a war actually happened, ZoJo was named Imperator of the "Zecond Founding" of Zormite, and promptly declared independence from Samurai. Wars followed, with Zormite emerging victorious and independent. Thus began a long trend of Samurai losing and surrendering to Zormite forces.

Zargon Zormola became Emperor again following the trend, Zargon stepped up to replace ZoJo when he decided he'd been around for too long. Staying true to his previous rulings, Zormite was far more gung-ho towards war and continued to snuff out Samurai attackers. Unfortunately Lord Zargon was cornered by Samurai assassins Muteki and Kato Katsumoto in the Garrison of Zormola. Zargon didn't not survive the battle. Althought Zormite won the battle, they lost a true hero. (Kato Katsumoto became Taiso (Emperor) of Samurai after slaying Zargon)

Former Dustari general Hovan L. Rayleigh defected to Zormite during ZoJo's prior reign and kept a high military position. After Zargon was assassinated, he was appointed Emperor. Zorbri enthusiasm was at an all time low due to the absence of the large personality cults that came with Zargon and ZoJo.

With ZoJo not returning to the archipelago, and Zargon being slain in one of the few battles Samurai opted to take part in, it fell Zoldan Zolanos to be the Zorbi to step out from the darkness and pull Zormite back from the ground. Zoldan has already made a physical mark on the kingdom by rebuilding the town of Kurol and laying waste to the town of Vateril. He has also instated a new foreign policy. While Zormite has usually kept to themselves, except to answer threats, Zoldan has formed a powerful alliance with Felix Lionheart and Romain Steele, Governors of the Crescent Pirates. Together, with the Pirates from the Crescent Isle. Zormite once again sits on top of the circle of power. But with recent threats from the up and coming Samurai kingdom.. does it really?
