weapon amount causing lag?

Dunno if this is the right spot, but was wondering if the amount of weapons held in the server can cause lag?

Not directly ingame (depends how they are scripted and how much CPU they take up) but can cause lag on RC opening the wNPCs list. Look at testbed for example, it takes me 10 fair seconds to load RC.

Weapons are stored in memory so the more weapons you have the more memory you use, but it depends a lot more on the contents of the scripts rather than the quantity. Don't worry about the number of weapons you have.

Ok, so in-game, unless I have a TON of HUGE scripts, its ok to have a lot of weapons towards the players lag? I'm talking quite a few weapons, as many of our "items" will be very short scripts but saved in there.

Yeah, the weapon scripts dont take up much space. In fact, theyre really stored as notepad files. Which are typically take up very little space. I wouldnt worry about it.
