As a PR on Era, I know that many players can't even send a PM or do not know how to open their inventory. Use this guide to assist them.
Sending and Receiving messages to/from other players.
First what is a PM?
Types of PM's
- A PM (Personal-Message) is a message that only the receiver can see. This should be used when sending private information or just talking with a friend These messages appear yellow. (See Figure 1.1)
- A Mass Message is a message that goes to everyone on the server list. These messages appear blue (See Figure 1.1).
- A staff message is a message from a member of the staff team. These messages appear pink.
How to open Playerlist:
Windows users press F7 and a list will pop up. (See Figure 1.1)

Receiving Messages
As you can see I have a PM (personal message) as there is a yellow bubble. I also have a mass message, which is the blue bubble. That means people messaged me.
Playerlist categories
Met someone who is really nice? Add them to your friends list simply right right clicking them and hit "Buddy." Maybe you met someone really rude? Right click them and put them on ignore. There are other options in this list as well, such as to open their profile. (See Figure 1.2)
Figure 1.2
You may also notice there are divisions in the list: Staff, Buddies, Players, and at the bottom is Ignored (Non-pictured). (See Figure 1.1)
- Staff members will appear under staff when they are on.
- Your friends will appear under buddies when they are on.
- Players is the general list of players.
- Ignored - If someone is ignoring you, ignore them and you can't send/receive messages from them.
Playerlist Options
You can change many settings for messages such as disabling Mass Messages just by clicking options. Another screen will appear (See Figure 1.4).

Lastly, there are three tabs on top of the playerlist.
- The first one is your default view that shows you what is pictured above.
- The second one shows the current global guilds that are online. (See Figure 1.6)
- The third one lists all the public servers and allows you to PM people on other servers. (See Figure 1.7)
