Windows Vista?

Hello.

I'm using Windows Vista and have problems with Graal. Any animated tiles (Flowers are the usual cause) cause the surrounding tiles to flash strangely. Sometimes displaying other parts of the level. This happens on all servers so it's not a server issue. (See screenshot)

Weirdly, it doesn't happen on every animated flower but just some.

I've tried deleting the graal directory and reinstalling it.

System specs:
AMD XP2800+ (Barton core)
1gb DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Thanks for any help

Hmmm it seems to have problems when updating only parts of the texture. Did you have similar problems in earlier Graal versions?

This is the first time I've tried Graal on Vista. I only installed Vista last week.

Though I was using the version I had installed on my XP partition, I completely deleted that and reinstalled using the installer. Didn't help.

I'm using the latest ATI Drivers (Dated 13th December 06) and as far as I know, the DirectX version that comes with Vista is the latest.

A similar thing happens if I chop a bush. Except it just changes the tiles (to incorrect ones) but it doesn't cause the same flashing the animated flower tiles do.

They're not the latest.

This is the page I get to when going through the site and selecting my graphics card:
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/v...n-vista32.html

Perhaps the x64 drivers are newer.

My mistake, I forgot Vista requires different drivers.
Anyway, it's still in Beta, might be source of your problems.

Out of curiousity, have you had any of these problems?

- Sound not working
- Crashing when reading/sending PMs
- DirectX errors in the F2 window
- Freezing when copying text from F2 window
- Runtime errors when exiting

I have had crashing but it seems to be random.

Haven't experienced any of the other problems though.

When I still had Vista, I would have number two and five.

Vista has been final for awhile thats for sure, they have been just taking there time in producing it in order to release it to the mass public. (As far as Ive read in the news)

newegg(Site) current sells vista as well as overclockers(Euro site)

You can add .com to newegg or .co.uk to overclockers if you wish to reach their sites.

Comes out in stores in about 5-6 days.

Are you running Graal in compatibility mode for Windows XP?

I've tried with and without. The same problems occur.
