Suggestion: Sethat

I suggest putting a sethat script for all players to use. Buying hats is just stupid and annoying. There's no point to waste money on hats...it's just plain stupid. they should all be free.

Many players on era have already agreed to this.

Such as: Swift, TheJames, TheRuckus, etc etc.

I have the script made by tig if anyone needs it. He put it in the code gallery a while back. It automatically puts the hat on the player from the Graal Folders.

This idea has been discussed before and I remember wanting to do this.
But it wouldn't be fair to everybody who has paid money for hats thus far (some of which sold for ridiculous amounts in the past) if hats were made free for everybody now.
If it was going to be implemented it would be something to implement after a reset.

Hat items are also good because they allow control over which hats are and aren't allowed, and clearly show which hats are available on the server (as opposed to just going through a hats folder on your computer; nothing worse than looking for a head for 40 minutes, finding one you like, and then going to use it and it's from some other server).

We've all bought hats and lost / made money. I'd be happy if it was after a reset. I think it would make the game better to have the hat you always want. It isn't top priority or anything so after reset would be good.

All era hats say "era_" and i'm sure they can edit the script so it allows only the global hats and Era hats, not any other "server-specific" hats such as zhats for zodiac.

Most heads / bodies say "era_" or "zhead" so you should know it's from era or zodiac.

When you mention hats, an old idea comes to my mind. In the past, we planned to add some wardrobe kind of thing for hats. You wouldn't be able to own them as an item anymore, but instead, you can buy a hat for ten bucks or something. When buying a new one, your current one will be removed. If you want an old one back, you'd have to buy it again.

Bad idea, hats become essential items, and a good merchant item cause people will potentially pay tons for a rare hat they REALLY want, and a few players even collect rare hats to wear and show off. Even UN (server with no economy) has collectible hats, and some are rare and people will pay for them to get full sets etc., this idea is probably based on you wanting 1 hat but can't get it.

Even though we can have personal heads/bodys I quite enjoy a rare hat sitting on top my head.
