Oh, yeah. That'll help. The people who have done so in the past will find such security holes or utilities again and level themselves back up. Again and again, resets have always hurt the low to mid-range players; people who cheat will do so again, whereas those who don't are forced to go back to the drawing board.

If you're so sure that it's the Lv60+ people who are at fault here, why not propose an EXP reset for them? I mean, it should be quite obvious that people at level one, two, ten, fifteen, twenty and so on haven't cheated their way to free EXP. Why punish them and their hard work for the immorality of others? Of course, there are Lv60+ folks who have earned their level, and this isn't fair on them, either. So this isn't really a practical plan in either case.

Resetting a stat is a method of being seen to deal with a problem without actually having to do anything. How does the ol' saying go? "Prevention is better than cure." Cracking down on cheating - even just something like a log and NC alert every time someone gets huge amounts of EXP in a short space of time - is better than erasing everything because of the exploits of a tiny number of people.

Granted, there are some circumstances in which it is useful to hold a reset; after a server overhaul, say. Most of the time, though, it's just too heavy-handed.
