Not at all, frogs and lichens together form a rather balanced diet.
And Nayoko, if you look back a bit in the KJ forums (if not there than the Dustari ones) you'll find the info on the original kidnapping.
Samurai did kidnap her before and take her there, so it does make good sense she'd be found there.
