Screw classes for now - all they do is give you a head-start with some items, and stat-modifiers for your first roll. I'd like to see a system where classes give you modifiers for certain skills, in combination with a practice-system, i.e. if you use a skill a lot, you get better at it, and if you never use it at all, you suck. This way, we could have learning effects, as an archer would fire arrows at a better accuracy and rate than, say, a priest who, in turn, would cast prayers faster and stronger. |
