Yup. Isn't this half the reason why not many people bother praying to aengus and stuff, because his relic (the best thing about him, imho) doesn't work, and even if it did would be obsolete due to prep weaponscrolls?

See, the thing is, they'd rather wear their dual RoWs/RoS's so that they can go "pwning" people, and so instead of just putting up with it by getting some resist rings, they whine about it until the spells can't hurt a fly anymore.
