It's not my position to think of how these quests would work. I'm not an event master. I do agree with you, it would be nicer to see some more variation or challenge to a quest. I'm sure there's plenty of tools available to do interesting dungeon puzzles, have the mini-games currently in place (metris) be involved during a quest (therefore requiring you to get the metris game, then go to the npc that's required for that particular part of the quest, like getting a certain score to get a specific item to continue on, etc)
I've played almost every MMORPG to date, and I know much of their very nature. A number of them are moving towards on-the-fly scripting and dynamic playerworlds, however, which, from my knowledge of the game thus far, is lacking from Graal. That was part of my suggestion, and would make for changes to things to be easier and testing as well for that matter.
There are many things in my surroundings to use, although I do have a problem with the God system. I'm told to go fight giants and goblins, but I see no mobs with either name. Instead I have to look for t-rexs, which I'm still trying to figure out how they fit in as well.
I'd also like to see some kingdom exclusives, because as I can see now they are all player housing areas and that's pretty much it. There are entrances to mines, but there's nothing in them to mine. It'd be great if there were some variations with that (perhaps a higher drop rate of certain things or even new, unique things), but tie that into another system. Some sort of kingdom region control. It'd be nice to have a 'map' or 'continent' that is split up into regions, and kingdoms and clans have to invade those lands to take control of them. After they have control they have access to specific functions of that land, perhaps special items that can be crafted there, special dungeons, unique pets and horse avatars, or even special mines.
A true roleplayer can roleplay in any type of environment, I agree. Although, they will always ask for more tools to make their job easier as well. |
