The black line is the line of advancement. Archers and priest dont cross that line unless told to do otherwise. In which the Priest run in while the archers keep a hail of fire.
Then the Archers can be ordered in.

You always put your strongest on your right flank to quickly surround the enemy
Medicore on your left because you want to keep that flank up
Weakest in the middle... because you want them to fall back but not retreat. If they fall back then the enemy will be surrounded in the center.
The Calvary can do what it wishes... It can be hit and run mages or something. Doesn't matter.
Mages fit in the army, priest, and calvary sections
