You'll have to forgive me if anything I say has been previousely mentioned, because I'm not going to read through 14 pages of flaming, spam, and the occasional idea. With that said, here is my two cents on the matter:
I personaly think its a boneheaded idea to include it into the client, but it desparately needs to be redone.
I think the level editor should be separated from the client.
It would be nifty for us developers if we could alter the interface of the rc with gscript.
It would be nice if the time I spend working on the rc can be added to my player's online time >.>
The rc's layout is fine, I think, so please don't tinker with it too much.
More gscript commands to relate to the happenings in the rc, like you could access the rc chat text ingame with something much like a stringarray, or what not. This can be more usefull, let alone fun for the sake of novalty, if the rc remains separate, so the rc chat (kinda redundant, since "RC" means 'remote chat' if you ask me, rather 'remote controler') can be accessed ingame by the admins. It could be used for a variety of other things too, but I'll leave that up to your imagination.
Oh, just got another excelent idea...
Making it so the rc not only is built in, but is also separate, so you don't have to load the whole client to make a little change online, but you have the intention on being online for a while and debugging stuff, then by allmeans the person should use the one in the client.
Also, a sandwich would be nice... |
