when the person making it has a clear view of what they want and they do it, it will attract an audience. Players dont know what is being planned so their constant "butting in" just makes things worse in the long run. My next playerworld is going to make it hard to contact us staff in game I like transperent staff, because then people wont be dissapointed when their comments aren't replied to.

I do hope you mean the design team will be invisible while the player-relations staff won't, cause if the whole staff is hard to find, you'll be in a whole different world of problems...
