Material Uses

With the vast advances in scripting, I was wondering about ways that we could use the enviroment around us to create objects.

For example, since we have so many trees, I was thinking perhaps people could build bridges/rafts? First, you might have to chop down a tree and get some wood. Then, you could buy some rope and by tying a rope and 2 logs together, you could get a wooden plank. Perhaps it would require 6 wooden planks to build a small raft? As for the bridge, it might require 1 wooden plank per piece of the bridge?

Just a thought. You might be able to make it so that the bridge will eventually deteriorate after it has been walked over, say, 65 times?
