There can be memory problems when you have RAM from different producers or so. But the more common problem are the gfx drivers or sound drivers (one of the computers at the office running windows2000 crashes quite often mainly because of the sound driver). The standard drivers shipped with XP are quite bad, also sometimes new drivers have problems (e.g. the Nvidia drivers having bugs in the anit-aliasing code). |
