I wonder... There could be two modes:
1) Password restricted.
2) IP restricted.
The first is the same as the new system - you need to enter your password every time you log in. The second would allow you to type your password and then specify your current IP as the only one allowed on the account - if you have the IP then it doesn't ask for the password. On the other hand, it would only really be useful for fixed-IP dudes, and people using the same ISP could try to adopt the IPs others have set. It would be a cool feature in principle, but it could lead to problems. |
