i live on cape cod and we have some pirate wrecks off the cost and a few i've seen (plus we have a bunch of boats) #1) all boats from that error had gaurd rails on the sides #2) also the cabin would spread usually either from the direct center or it was at the back of the boat and the stearing wheel cas on top of it and the cabin streatched the width of the ship also they would usually feature life boats in the center of the ships tied down with a tarp over them (which was bound with ropes to the deck). i think every thing else got covered XD
