Christian, have you never heard anyone say "get off my property or I'll shoot you" or something of that nature? They own the property, and what they say is what goes. That's why it's legal to shoot somebody if they won't leave your property.
Here's a good example. I'll walk into your house and just lounge around whenever and wherever I feel like it. Oh you're wanting to use the bathroom? Well too bad, I'm in there! You see what I mean? It's not legal for me to be there unless you've given your consent. Meaning if you wanted to, you could shoot me for being in your house/on your property.

That is to say, being on the property without being welcome...or being on for some violent nature. If someone is lost on your property (saying you own 10 acres) then they would have a counter suit of I dunno...unneeded violence (not that I really know the law, just heard that somewhere) and could win...but say you told them to get off your land and they did not leave, then maybe hehe...but anywho I got a little to complicated =P.
