If they are going to have GP or Police (they seem like basically the same thing), then they need to make sure the ones they choose are chosen for their maturity, their ability to handle responsibility, and their personality, instead of because they're friends with the Admins. Friendship shouldn't be dependant on favors.

G2K1 is a p2p game and as such, the rules need to be changed. G2K1 is a buisiness now, and needs to realize that the customer has to be considered first, or the customer will eventually find another venue for their hard-earned money. Things, like corrupt GPs or GPs that didn't do their job or abused their power, might have been tolerated on Classic but a paying player is going to expect more and be more critical.

G2K1 has already made a few mistakes in their public relations and advertising, so to speak, which may hurt them a little now but isn't such a big deal if they handle things correctly from now on. Most important, they need to have a fully playable, enjoyable, professional game product by the end of June.

This means they need to be very careful who they appoint into positions of power and responsibility. Voting for appointments is a good idea, and should be a definate consideration when deciding who to place in a paticular post, but it needs to be a consideration, not the last word.
