Levels now are all about presence, not how logically the objects and terrain is placed in the level. People complain -- like Kaimestu -- that paths are all nuts and wacked because they aren't straight and curve a bit. What looks better. A straight path, or a curved one with little "jig-jagged" sides.
With them mushrooms, they give you nice color to the level, and a different change of mood. If you get angry using them because they block you, take a full-screen screenshot, copy of mspaint, crop around the mushroom, and then go to psp and change it to a png. :O
Also, the dark-water idea was great, it isn't logical, but it looks fantastic. I like both levels equal.
