No point in resetting it now. Truely, it doesn't matter, the server isn't really balanced, I mean there's no limit to the power one can obtain really, which is a problem, because I think the whole IWD thing has gotten out of hand. People shouldn't be dealing 70+ damage per hit, I mean that is insane, especially because when you get hit, there is no moment of invincibility, so a person can hit you 3-8 times before you can even escape from them.
I mean it's like this:
Hurting takes 0.5 seconds, attacking takes 0.5 seconds.
You get hurt, 0.5 seconds pass before you can attack again. By the time you get the chance to attack, the other person is hitting you again, therefore, it's nearly impossible to hit them while they are next to you swinging, because you're constantly being hit before you can complete one attack. If there was some way to stop this from happening, it would add strategy to combat, because people couldn't just run in on you and swing 10 times to kill you, they would have to take into account the fact that you will get a chance to hit them back.
Plus there are spells that kill people in one hit no matter what (aka cause critical wounds) Not to mention a lot of other things that just aren't balanced well. I liked it at the start of the server when everybody did about the same damage, and was about the same strength. But it's never going to be like that again, even if it gets reset, within a week, there would be high level players that could kill everything. |
