In my opinion it should work like this...
You should be a certain mental level in order to read a recipe, if you're below the level and attempt to learn it, it would give the message it gives now (it's above your comprehension) but it would be nice if the level of the recipe is known. After reaching that level and you read the book you would see the recipe in the F2 list like normal and you would be able to use it. You learn it at a 100% success rate and the book won't disappear after you use it (so you could look at it again if you need) but even if you tell the recipe to someone they won't be able to use it unless they read the book themselves also. Adding a cauldron requirement may be ok too...like you must have a cauldron+2 or something in order for a recipe for good armor or something to work O.o |
