i can tell you why the RCs were not IP range blocked;
because myself and others were on dial up modems
(i still got 56k) and with large ISPs like MSN, they have
so many possible connections that even the first three
numbers of the IP changes, and all four sets of number
change. You could set it, log off the internet. log back in
and be blocked, having to disconect and reconnect
from the ISP many times before getting on the same
first three numbers again.
In short, IP ranging does not work for everyone.
In fact, there are many who it does not work for.
I do admit that there were too many staff with too many
privilges, more than they needed. I made a mistake
many times back .. what now, a year ago?
Don and i have been talking about what went wrong before,
and to not repeat old mistakes. Rather, we are trying to set
a better foundaiton staff wise. |
