But I agree that swearing should be taken out. Profanity filters aren't difficult to implement, and if people use weird ASCII 'words' to replace them then you can either punish them or ignore them - one way or another, the words have nowhere near as much effect if you need to translate them first.
As for the people saying we should change the players? No. Not realistic. These are kids that have used swears in virtually every sentence for most of their lives. So what's your plan?
Ask them nicely? Well, you can just leave right now. This discussion is for people with more than three brain cells.
Make rules? 90% of the people won't know about the rule and the other 10% will disobey it to be COOL REBELS.
Neither will work. And to the "Hey it's only words omg" people: Yes, they're only words. But those words are designed to cause offense. If you do not think they cause offense then you have no reason to use them. If you do then your argument is defeated. The fact is this: People are offended by it - you don't get a say in that. Removing your ability to swear is really just removing one of the ways in which you offend people, and that's hardly a reprehensible change. Go find a dictionary or something; there are other words.

Smartest thing I've heard in quite a while. I can see no way anyone could argue with that. (Well, unless they are like "OMG I'M UBER 1337 YOU ARE STUPID YEAH HAHA", but then again, that just futher proves the point. However, the rest of us will realize that it's idiot logic, and simply laugh at them.) Funny how people want to be "cool" over the internet by swearing and such, but that's a whole side topic I don't want to get into.

A swearing filter might help to some degree, I dont know, but personally, I think the managers need to crack down and start banning accounts of repeat offenders.
You could try a short term ban at first, like a month, then let them back on...if they do it again...who needs them, ban them permanently.
The only way you will make people see you mean what you say is to crack down hard on them, they will get the point.

I wholeheartedly agree.

With no reason and no argument to support this statement, you make it quite obvious what category you fall into in the large scheme of things: the one that was already mentioned in Kaimetsu's post.
