I think declaring characters to be inhumanly wise is always unsteady ground because the writer has to be equally wise to properly represent them. The only moderately safe way is to look at the character from a detached viewpoint, describing what they do rather than what they think, but even then there are pitfalls. Personally I'd just scratch the wisdom thing altogether. |
