If you want to know why it's sitting at the bottom of the serverlist after only one week of being online, it's because playerworld managers seem to think "omg well the sooner I get it up with less content the better". Wrong!
If you're Joe Schmoe, and just decided to check out a new server, you want something that appeals to you. Sure, the tileset looks nice, the graphics (though they don't seem to fit and are disproportional badly) are kind of alright, but I saw nothing to do there at all. Joe has a short attention span, and leaves back to his old sevver. There is nothing for him here.
Now Gaia will have to pay the price for a rushed release, and spend months and months of working winning back the players' trust and appreciation for the server so they can get good numbers again. That could have all been avoided if they put time and effort into finishing the server while private first, then releasing.
