There could be a few smaller things that can cause games to run slower (especially while not in fullscreen mode) such as running with 32-bit resolution or having CPU/memory consuming programs running in the background for example, but I'm not going to make a whole list now. So for now, try checking if you're using 32-bit resolution, and change it to 16-bit if you are. Rarely (and usually on slower computers), opening a web site that contains Flash with IE can speed up games (particularly Graal) -- I know this seems stupid, but it actually does work for some of my own. |
