Nope, wrong again.
He wants it to be more RP-like, not more realistic. But I agree that the bar thing is better without the number. The number is nice, to know how your character is doing (look how much damage I can deal! and such) but I don't really want numbers popping out of monsters' heads every time I hit them. Maybe a combat rating in your Q menu, showing the average damage dealt (as opposed to how much damage you SHOULD be dealing)?
