Certainly. I don't claim to have any worth to the universe, but in my defense I think I have some claim to being worthless on fewer levels of abstraction than some.
It actually does, if intelligence is the ladder. You seem to believe in equality, a very weak and poorly thought-out concept. If a person is more intelligent than somebody, then he is intellectually higher than that person.
I may have misinterpreted your statement, but are you saying that my differences from you are some kind of problem?! As for common sense, I invite you to look at the words involved. Common, as in average and mundane. The common man has an IQ of a mere 100 and no special characteristics. I'd rather be extraordinary than common. And [i]sense[i]. Much of what humans sense misleads us, and it's complete foolishness to assume that everything we sense is true.
