Common, as in average and mundane. The common man has an IQ of a mere 100 and no special characteristics. I'd rather be extraordinary than common. And sense. Much of what humans sense misleads us, and it's complete foolishness to assume that everything we sense is true.

You are taking the words common sense to literally.If I say butterfly,I don't mean butter that flies.you may be able to tell me the square root of some adverse number,but you may not be able to tell the difference between a dalmation and a lab,that is common sense.And yes,i'm taking it as a problem if this is the way you act because of it.
