Just curious, but what kind of woods do you have in your area? Around here there are plenty, and when you go in them there is not a layer of long grasses and dirt and crammed with grass/dirt/rocks, rather it is either in clumps around certain places or the ground is flat. Mushrooms are rare, and so are distributed throughout the woods in generally random fashion.
