I think you'd have an argument if the statement were actually false. Although, as a side-note, I don't claim to be more intelligent than
everybody. I accepted, for example, that Dante's intelligence far exceeded my own, and I'm sure there are others in the same boat. As for only thinking of myself, selfishness is a positive quality. And my way of doing things is usually correct, so of course I'm going to stick by it.
