Eh, surprised this is still going on. I'll just quickly jump in and say this.
As with any public services, the ones in charge usually aim to keep the "public morals" as a primary issue, while respecting the opinions of the minority views. Public morals is basically the majority belief (ie. don't go around killing people, don't kick puppies, don't jump old people in wheelchairs, et cetera), so that will always be upheld, obviously. Minority views aren't going to win (ie. human sacrafices are a-okay), but their beliefs will be noted. Since the point is to please as many possible, majority rules. |
