I personally don't think the votes should have any impact on the decision of hiring or firing staff. As it is said before, this can easily be swayed to work in a person's favor, and easily to work wrongly against someone.
Not everyone is going to like someone (Except perhaps Stefan ) and there will always be differences. I could have a friend that is considered a loner, and keeps to him or herself. They certainly won't get many, if any votes. Then again, if I turn around, I could see another friend that prys in conflicts, to get the sides agitated, and other people could easily find that funny. Therfore, people would like him, and perhaps vote for him.

This will almost guarunteed turn out to be a popularity contest. This is not to say that I am against this system, but I just think it should be added to add some pzazz(sp?) to the boards, not to have any influence for hiring and firing, and such.

Anyways, just my two cents.
