I very much like the fact that it's using a new tileset. I'm really getting tired of the default one. Now, the criticism:
a) You might want some separations in the floors, i.e., make it bricks rather than solid stone.
b) Make some irregularities, just in general. Maybe a few small cracks in the floor, frayed edges on the carpet, etc. Don't overdo it, though, or you risk distracting the player.
c) The shine on the two central windows looks too much like a pattern, since you've used the same tile over and over.
d) The tables look kinda wierd. I don't like the colour of their legs, although that's only my opinion. More importantly, the table top doesn't seem to connect with the bottom, if you follow me.
e) Minor point: humans like symmetry. Would it have killed you to make it symmetrical? Not necessarily in the tables, but the carpet is off-center.
Beyond those things it is a very nice level, and a wonderful break from all those outside levels that in all their randomness look exactly the same... |
