Three colors for a tile is GOOD. Using 20 different colors for a tile is bad, especially because you can only use 256 colors total in your tileset. Just look at some of the best snes rpgs ever made.. they used about 3 colors for everything (3 different colors for each thing)

I'm not one of those people that puts his own work down.. To be honest, I love Oasis so far, I think I'm doing a good job on it, and I feel it will do well compared to some of the others. It might sound ****y, or sound like I'm bragging, but it's just my honest opinion. Why must you keep reminding me not to show my stuff? Are you actually worried my playerworld is going to be great? What I have shown is like 1% of what Oasis will be when it's released, PLUS it isn't even finalized stuff. Things are subject to change, tiles might be revised, players might be changed, who knows. You make it sound like I'm finishing something and showing everyone every single time. I'm not doing that. :o
I never said a low number of colors was bad, all my tiles have below 5 colors for the most part, average being 4. I was saying the less detailed the tiles, the less number of colors you need to use...you mention SNES games, well, looking at SD3, the average number of colors are 3 or so I believe for their tiles. The detail level is excellent...then look at mario for instance, which is more of the gfx style you are going for (well, level of detail)...they usually have a base color and such, more cartoony, like your...but anywho, 3 colors isn't bad, but with 3 colors alot more could be done, I guess is my point. Different styles I suppose though...

As for the rest of your post, it seemed rather defensive, and didn't need to be. I wasn't trying to put down Oasis, just giving a good suggestion.

As for you making another game or whatever, that can't really be used as a..uh...forgot the word...but anywho, if the game was completely public, and people still liked it, then imagine how much better it would be if it wasn't public, and suddenly released. It would, I assure you, be 2 times or more succesful.
