You're lecturing me on grammar? You said "righting," and I don't think this makes you a superior authority on the subject. So, I used "and" as a transition element. Big deal. It's used informally as a forms of moving onwards in a topic. This is an informal forum, and as long as my sentence structure, grammar, and spelling are A-OK, I see no reason why I should change just because I used "and" as a transition.
