I had another idea on how 2002 came about..Less action packed

Well this is the basic outline:
Graal's land was hit by an immense
asteroid seperating all land into 5 (however many islands 2002 has) islands where kingdoms were rebuilt.Only recently did the kingdoms discover each other, and when they did they were immediately in competition for control of the graal world.But with the islands being created and seperated, creatures that had been sleeping for thousands of years underground awoke and came out to wander the land attacking any human thing in sight...
