Looks like it doesn't like the new Graal.
Copy the sprites.gif file in the zip to your webgifs folder, then open GChar. It will load and probably show an error about loading GIFs. Ignore it, and press NEW in the top right of the program, and voila!
Too bad there is no body changer on it =\.
