The axis can be any direction (ok shouldn't be on top
of each other , all calculations and algebra will still
work. You only need to know the direction / draw
an arrow to show the direction.
In school the y often goes north,
on computer monitors the y axis is leading south
when doing 2-dimensional stuff.
This is getting even more complicated when going
to the third dimension
