Okay, my first impressions of Graal 2002...
THE GOOD- Doesn't cost more money; free for current P2P accounts
- 3D levels and hand-drawn style graphics
- 3D minimaps are a nice touch
- Fun Quests
- Vast open land to explore and roleplay in
- Mining Axe doesn't break
THE BAD- 3D levels are slower on older graphics cards
- New level editor
- New "Q" menu system not all that good or fast to use
- Difficult to attack and kill baddies; sword is very slow/awkward to use
- Helpless new players being attacked with no weapons to defend themselves
- Many NPCs available are the same as Graal 2001 versions
- Still too much stupid trading going on (now not just hats, swords too)
- Can hide under very small items like hats and keys
- Can be damaged when talking to NPCs (very annoying)
- No Pause (what if I need to leave my PC for a moment?)
THE UGLY- Automap feature still maps incorrectly and makes discolored maps
- New baddie sprites (spiders and "golems")
That is just all off the top of my head, I'm sure I can think of more later
