Fair enough, I suppose. As I own a playerworld, I would consider myself to be fit to comment on this particular issue. Even if you discount all other evidence, I can recall Mithica before P2P as opposed to Mithica afterwards. As I look at the differences, I find that it was the people, rather than the levels and/or events that made it what it was. Granted, right now we have nothing, but that's mostly due to the previous FTP hack, and the fact that now FTP can't be accessed at all. To get back on topic here, it's the people that drew MORE people in. Intelligent, improvisitional players can find fun even where there is nothing organised to take part in. The community of players allowed us to get to know each other, and through that familiarity, to banter back and forth, creating all manner of interesting plot weaves. Since that sense of community has begun to break down as of late, this is no longer always possible. The end result is, as has been said before, boredom. Not a good thing. |
