NOoOOOoooOOo not kart races!!!
For one it's always the same few people that win because they don't lag and two my computer screws up a lot and freezes when I race on the tracks due to the large ammount of people and bandwidth going back and forth my dsl modem locks up.
Maybe sell them in the shops or buildings where they go if you make a certain ammount of bread or pies you get the chef hat, or if you catch a certain total ammount of weight in fish you get a fish hat, and if you mine enough rocks you get a miner helmet.. I think that would be good because then it would take a while to get the hat and people could put their own pricetag on them if they wanted to sell the hats.
for example: every 200 apple pies you bake you get a chef hat
every 100 durbies you craft you get a miner hat
every 10000 pounds of fish you sell you get a fisher hat
