Um. What did I ever do you, Soul Blade? Are you angered at something? Or do you just like spreading hateful messages to people.
As for just using triggeraction to send back data, what if the player that killed you is laggy or what if the player leaves the level? The triggeraction will never hit him and he won't gain experience.
And, why would it cause horrible lag if lots of people are using the system? Its all client-side on the player's account. How would that cause lag? Please tell me so I can fix it.
Oh, and I DO know about triggeraction and parameters. All weapons use triggeraction to send info to the player.
And, I am not going to have every npc in the game be inside the npcserver database! That is plain stupid! Only key NPC Characters will be in the database, like the kind that will quest with you, or lead you somewhere.
Also, I restrict my timeout use. If the system is not being used, it goes into an "idle" mode with a higher timeout, as not to lag the player up as much. |
