If the G2k1 server was free, the staff would have less motivation to create good quality levels and features.
Also, playing Graal Classic is like living in an over-crowded city... if you tick someone off, you'll be less likely to ever hear from that person again. G2k1, however, is like living in rural Maine. Everyone knows everyone. (Well, yeah, the highest player count on g2k has never exceeded 45).
Because of the low amount of players, it's
so easy to get an admin to look at your levels/npcs/ganis and possibly upload them. Why? All the newbies aren't clogging the admins' inbox up with 20x20 bed-lamp-table houses. Good quality... I'd pay for that.
