Ok..
hmmm I suggested this before but just to make it known to anyone who missed it.
We are all upset cus all the kingdoms seem to sit and do nothing all day long, or they RP but amongst themselves.
If we replace the king with an NPC then the game loses alot of value becuase their are no heated political arguments and theirs no variety and un-expected situation theirs basically..
heated.. well heated "Im the king who are you?"
coming from a stupid NPC who sits their and does nothing,
kingdoms need actualy leadership so for toehr things so heres my Idea, is combines alot of ideas for an NPC king with having a player king. First off like some people said we need royalty that is capturable and able to kidnapp and take hostage.
Now it seems impossible for this to work because the king would have to be on all day.....
so.... If the king or another high person logs off they are replaced with an NPC of themselves that is asleep. If the king was on the throne hell be snoozig on hte throne if he was standing up hell be asleep in hte middle of the floor like a drunk. Now if he is offline when the enemy storms the castle then he will wake up if he hears explosions in the room or anythig and run frantically for about 10 seconds trying to escape to another room. If the enemy can prevent him from escaping after 10 seconds he will freeze and go OK I surrender!!
then the enemy crray him becuase he is liftable and they take him to their castleor whatever. Hold him hotsge etc...
Now if the king is online when this happens almost the same thing happens....
Once the defenders are killed the king has 10 seconds to escape.. if 10 seconds pass and he hasnt escaped he automatically freezes and automatically says "Ok I give up"
and he becomes carryable to do whatever you please with....
if dropped he can try to run away same with NPC king.
Now castles and such could have things like gates and walls but their has to be away to get past them. Like if there was a gate or a big door the enemy team could use a battering ram to break it down, while the castle defenders would shoot at them to keep them back. Or for the dustari bridge their could be ropes that the enemy would ht the bridge with and if enough people hit it they all pull the ropes and they pull the gate out. Now like someone said there would be an NPC that recorded all the deaths and victories and such and remembered who is at war with who.
And if your person dies they can be raised from the dead but if there not within a certain amount of time your character is dead and you are not that position anymore. Also mayb all people of certain rank could vote to declare wat etc like a parliment,
but the King would like count as maybe two people or like a certain amount of people have to vote in order to overule the king if he vetos etc... Also maybe you would need a barracks and when you would go their and when you logged of it would show you in bed so that its not like your invulnerable cus you log off during major battles so you dont die. I think this combines the best features of an NPC king with havign a player king,
the whole point is which player leaders a unique plot can be created not just a set one by an NPC who says the same thing voer and over again, also its unfair cus Captain Ghost Pirate has been the most reliable leader and if he gets replaced by a dumb NPC that steals my qoute and says I Aaarrrre a Pirate,
then I will be really really pissed
