Metro #1

Hello!

I think I will start doing these on a regular bases until I can assure the metro map is as nice as it can look. Basically i'll be commenting on what I see wrong and how or if it can be improved. So first off I Will be addressing the 'new' metro Player Relations Building.

  • Number one... If you look at the middle section on the left side you will see the error in a red box with the number one beside it. The problem with this is, it doesn't fit well nor is it necessary. It makes the level in a way looked unbalanced, which can be a huge minus.

Secondly, it seems the creator for some reasons goes out of his way to make a even more unbalanced level by adding one table and leaving the empty space to the right. This level in particular depletes the whole purpose for have level components and requirements...

Thirdly he adds two random chairs on each sides which in my opinion have no business being there. The chairs seem as an obstacle just to fill that tiny space, which shouldn't even be there in the first place. If he were just to continue the table all through the overhead, add two more computers, and (or) possible two more NPCs; this level could of been a huge plus.

  • I came across another error that completely ticked me off. The fourth reason this level stands as it is; is simple because of the lat's work ethics. You can tell from design and other errors he did a half-ass job, which in my opinion there is no room for. If you touch the door on the mid-section on the right you can see hes used a staff block image to cover up as a door. Lazy work ethics is what this level consists of. The staff message appears on the bottom right screen.

Number five! Most levels now and days are created and measured based of style and space. If you look at the entrance its entirely to small and deludes the point of being a 'Police Base'. Police bases consist of entirely more space then this. I'm not implying to make a level that fills up your GraalEditor browser, but something that fit better than what we see now.

The sixth reason I find this level atrocious is due to the fact that the creator uses classic like leveling elements. He places three NPCs along with weapons they have equipped. It might just be that I can't see or I'm a total idiot, but I "thought" this was a modern server. The NPCs there serve no point, and don't really emphasize the police base. Once again just another obstacle to take a room due to a lack of creativity. If he 'attempted' to emphasize that it was a police base I'd make a room with guns on rack and grenade boxes on tables and swat gear hung up.

Last but not least, number seven. This might be self-explanatory coming from a levels artist eye. The space is just empty. To me he just shaped this level a little bit to weird, in fact I'd suggest (if this can't be fixed) to resort back to the old Police Base, as it fits and looks better. Along with that it covers everything PRs need, and players; including the rules.

So Yeah... Thats what I think about this, I'd rate this level a 3/10, tell me what you think, what and (or) how they could fix it, and whats you're rating? Would even give it a 8/10? Tell me watcha thinkin!
