perhaps there could even be a reward, for instance:

if you do accept the hardcore challenge each week, you're rewarded with 10 ec and 100 Gang points or something along those lines.

EC, Gang Points, Health Bonuses, Perks, MVP Coins, idk.

Just throwing out some ideas.

But there would need to be a time frame you have to accept the challenge.

Maybe if the week resets on Sunday @ 7:00 PM server time, you have to accept the Challenge for next week by at least Monday or Tuesday. That way people can't accept it at the last minute to get free rewards.

OR everyone could have their own timer.
(there would have to be a minimum online time I'm guessing for this idea to actually work, otherwise players could just accept and stay offline for a week and collect their free items every Sunday).
